KP Book Balance started with a simple belief: small business owners should spend their time on their business, not buried in spreadsheets.

I’m Kathleen Pickrel, and I built KP Book Balance right here in Tucson to give solopreneurs and small business owners a bookkeeper who actually knows their business — not just their numbers.

Before bookkeeping, I spent years in social work and ran a nonprofit. Both taught me that numbers are rarely just numbers — they carry stress, relief, and everything in between. I bring that same patience and steadiness to your books.

I keep things organized, communicate clearly, and treat your books with the same care I’d want for my own. You’ll always know where things stand, and you’ll never have to guess whether something got done.
